Featured: Style Me Pretty

I am so very thrilled to be featured on Style Me Pretty today!

My darling friend Calie of Calie Rose Floral and Event Design approached me about doing a styled shoot and I’m just amazed at the magic we cooked up together. I feel like I’ve birthed a child.

I’ve always been inspired by the raw as well as the traditionally beautiful–and the unexpected makes me swoon. We decided to marry the two ideas for a rustic and bright brunch: natural, woodsy elements with a whole lotta flower power combined with bright, sassy colors and modern elements. I tire easily of ‘perfectly coiffed’ and ‘high-maintenance,’ so we decided to give the shoot a laid-back unfussy feel with casual brunch, mismatched bridesmaids attire, jacketless men and a glammed-up picnic table.
