Well hi, let me tell you about you.
You’re a photographer who yearns to shoot families in a candid way that feels completely you. You get some inquiries from your website but these people seem like price shoppers or just don’t get your work.
Your best clients come from word of mouth but you’d really like to expand your reach beyond your current client base, whether you want to raise your prices and make more money or just have clients lined up who freaking LOVE what you do.
This is where your website comes in. Your online home. The first place potential clients “meet” you, see your work, and decide–within seconds–whether or not to hire you. So, are you really surprised that “Hi, I’m ____ and I love love! And Diet Coke!” and all the other generic blah words they’ve also seen on every other photographer’s site aren’t hooking them?
The thing is–you have something unique to offer as a photographer. You just might not know what it is yet–or more often–how to articulate it in a way that makes sense to your people.
That’s where I bring my secret sauce: probing questions + simple formulas to figure out who you are as a photographer and brand, what exactly you do (hint: it’s more than taking pretty photos) so you can attract those dream clients using your website.
Even if you do figure out the answers to those questions yourself, you probably got into photography because you like photographs, not because you’re a word wiz. I’m here to help you translate those ideas to beautiful–and sellable–words that are clear and oozing with ‘you’ness so peeps get what you’re all about right away.
Of course this applies to your images, too–together we’ll hone in on your unique factors and help you make the work you really want to make. This means I’ll share:
- all my tips and tricks about family photography from starting a session to making room for creativity every time
- dealing with nightmare situations like a boss while still nurturing the artist within
- my go-to poses + games that are infinitely variable
- shooting large families with a candid feel
- plus a deep dive into the one factor that has the power to take your work from mediocre to show stopping.
“HUGE thank you Brooke. Your feedback and ideas gave me the inspiration and focus that I needed plus I just feel so much more excited. It actually makes me not fear competition anymore because we each bring our own viewpoint and personality to the plate. It is up to the client to decide what is the better fit. Before I was just seeing it strictly as who is a better photographer. I now know how to allow my own voice to flow through and not just follow trends.”

So you could keep relying on word of mouth referrals alone, keep putting off changing your website and telling yourself you’ll get to it when you’re less busy (and shooing your dream clients away by waiting, btw)
You could keep wasting the golden opportunity that is your website wording to make yourself an expert in your niche, attract the right kind of people and grow your brand.
I’ll show you step by step how I make the photos I make, with no holds barred and concrete plans you can implement at your next shoot–without the risk of becoming a carbon copy of me because every tip and trick can be applied to your specific style and voice as an artist.
I’ll hand hold you through writing your website–from the pricing page to the about page so you don’t have to spend months agonizing, researching, writing and rewriting with no game plan. I’ll show you how to make it ultra clear + organized in a way that makes it easy for them to do exactly what you want them to do–hire you.
Let’s talk DETAILS–here’s exactly what you get:
Pre workshop: You’ll get access to a video walking you through the initial setup of your website words, how to get started, and then some homework. You’ll turn your homework in to me and receive feedback/revisions before we hang together in person. You’ll come to the workshop with a skeleton start for your site and we will finish it up together.
This experience is incredibly involved, and not for the faint of heart.
After you work through the initial video training setup to get you on the right track, you’ll come to the in person workshop in July to put all the puzzle pieces together–come ready to soak in, work and learn from dawn til dusk.
We’ll start with the nitty gritty of family photography, tips tricks, games and fun plus infusing you into every session. Then we’ll have a guided shoot with a model family with a walkthrough of everything I’m doing. Everyone will have a chance to shoot the model family with feedback from me.
Then: the website makeover. I’ll set you up with a bite-size formula to follow, you’ll write, and each attendee will have individual feedback and fine-tuning so you walk away with your website completely D-O-N-E and shining in all its perfectly-you glory.
BONUS: This workshop is sponsored by The FIND Lab, who’s providing film + processing to all attendees plus a couple nifty surprises. 😉

But Brooke, I’m terrible at writing. Like blinking white screen of death every single time. Can you still help me?
Yep. I’m going to break it down into a recipe that’s easy to follow for each page of your website. Then I’ll be there to help you follow that recipe, and coach you through adding your own flavor to make the words really sing.
“Brooke, you took my thoughts and feelings and made them into magic. I was worried the words wouldn’t sound like me, but that didn’t happen at all.
You asked me hard questions that I hadn’t necessarily even thought about + you helped me dig deep to find answers to them. I learned that the images initially draw people in but the words are what helps them connect with us–which ultimately leads to them hiring us.
I’ve already had lots of clients tell me how much they connected with the words on my site and how that helped them make the final jump to hire me!”
-Jillian
Wait, so, I’ll walk away with my whole website written? Really?
Yes’m. The basic categories of your website will be completely Done at the end of the day: about page, pricing (including a description of what you do/your work), contact, faq’s, + testimonials. It seems like a TON, especially when you’re staring at lorem ipsums all over a template, but broken down into smaller chunks (plus our pre-work) with the recipe I’ve created we can do it, yo.
When and where exactly will this be?
You do need to commit to the prep before–it will really only take you about 2 hours total, max. July 15th is the in-person all-day motherload. Our in person workshop will be in Utah, Salt Lake City area.
How many spots are there?
Because I’ll be spending so much time intensively working with each attendee, there will only be 9 spots available.
How much does it cost?
$950. I want to ask you though, how much is it costing you to NOT have your website selling for you? How much is it costing you to lose clients–no matter how beautiful your work is–to words that aren’t working? Many times if you only booked 3 more clients through having this knowledge you’d have recouped your investment and then some. Your ticket price includes light breakfast, lunch, and plenty of delicious snacks. Dinner that night is on your own.
Can I come to the next one?
Right now there are no solid plans for a “next one.” It could happen, but as nothing’s set in stone, this is your chance. If your gut is saying mehhhhh, I dunno–feel free to click away, friend. Really and truly. But if your gut is saying yes, yes, this is what I need–let’s do this.
“If you’re wanting help with their site specifically this would hands down be the workshop for you. I wish that I could have taken this years ago when I first started and was so clueless with what to say about myself.”
