I have been sitting on this wedding for far, far too long–it’s featured over on 100 Layer Cake today, and I am beyond thrilled to finally be able to share it.
Ayley and Adam are the kind of couple I make my very best photos with–creative as anything, with fabulous style, but most importantly: full of and sharing in the most lovely way a beautiful, deep love that was the center of their love party.
Ayley has written so exquisitely about their wedding on her blog, it seems strange to add anything, when I feel like I was so wholly part of it, and still a fly on the wall–my most favorite way to feel when documenting a wedding.
One thing is for absolute sure: Ayley and Adam have something incredibly special. They radiate, together, and people of all kinds are just drawn to them. I remember Adam asking me over and over how I was feeling, on their wedding day, and I kept saying, “I’m so good!” but in a surprised way, because usually couples are (very understandably so) wrapped in the bliss and emotion of their big day. Ayley and Adam aren’t those people, though. They care about people, and the whole world, in a way that just invites everyone…to the love party.
Baha. Okay, that was cheesy, but just way too easy. And also the downright truth.
These two inspired me to shoot film again, and their whole day was a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do. Ayley and Adam, I cannot say enough thank yous for allowing me to be part of your loveliest day. You are a wonderful couple, the role model of love for humans everywhere–I feel absolutely honored to have been part of your wedding. I wish you the best, a million times over.

It’s okay to let the rules slide a little bit when you’re on vtocaian. Obviously you don’t want to go overboard and eat nothing but sweets for three days, but you shouldn’t stress over where/what you are going to eat. Depending on your vtocaian, you might be doing a lot more moving than a regular day anyway, so go ahead and splurge a little!
